Covalent Bond: a chemical bond formed when two or more nonmetals share electrons.
Electron Cloud: the area where negatively charged electrons, arranged in energy levels, travel around an atom's nucleus.
Electron Dot Diagram: chemcial symbol for an element, surrounded by the number of valence electrons.
Energy Level: the different positions for an electron in an atom.
Ion: an atom that is no longer neutral because its has gained or lost an electron.
Ionic Bond: a bond that occurs when a metal gives it's valence electrons to a nonmetal.
Metallic Bond: occurs when metals share their pooled electrons.
Molecule: a neutral particle formed when atoms share electrons.
